CLIENT RIGHTSHunter Integrated Care Inc. believes service users have a right to:The opportunity to use services to enable them to gain more control over their lives, be informed about available services and to participate in decisions concerning the type of assistance provided, the way it is provided and any fees to be charged. Respect for their individual human worth and privacy, be treated with dignity, have their privacy respected and the information about them kept confidential. Involve an advocate of their choice to support & assist them in discussions with the organisation. In the case of clients with dementia and other cognitive disabilities an advocate will be used whenever possible. Access to services decided on the basis of need and the capacity of the organisation to meet those needs. Clients have a right to refuse a service and refusal will not prejudice their future access to services. Safe, quality services being provided irrespective of sex, race, ethnicity, culture, language, religion, marital status, disability, sexuality, age, income and social background. Appropriate assistance, which is reliable, of high quality, delivered in a safe manner, culturally and linguistically relevant, which is flexible and responsive to their changing needs and priorities. Have their information forwarded to other organisations only with the clients’ permission. This permission can be withdrawn at any time. Make complaints about the organisation and/or the service they receive. Such matters will be dealt with fairly; in a timely manner and provide clients with the opportunity to seek redress without fear of the complaint affecting decisions relating to the assistance they receive. Access all information that the organisation has about them, and the ability to correct any wrong information. Have their views taken into account when service evaluation and service development planning is conducted. |
