Hunter HACC Development Officers (HACC):

These staff provide assistance to HACC funded services in the Hunter valley in the following ways:

Support

Assisting HACC and other community care providers or potential community care providers with support concerning service management, identification of staff and volunteer training needs, development of service promotion and development of service policies and procedures.

Facilitation

Assisting in the establishment and ongoing support of processes that ensure effective communication between consumer groups, service providers and Government.

Advocacy

Ensuring that equity and access issues are represented to service providers and Government including representing service users.

Empowerment

Promoting the role of consumers in planning and providing support for consumers to raise issues with service providers and Government.

Planning
