Merriwa & Murrurundi Community Care Services (HACC):

These service are designed to provide outlets in the Merriwa and Murrurundi townships that act as focal points for the community to access coPartymmunity care. The outlets maintain a range of pamphlets on services available to residents.
In addition the services’ provide: Activity centre & centre based respite, Delivered meals, Social outings and social transport. Both Community Care services have a community car that is driven by volunteers to provide social outing and supports to clients. In Merriwa meals are delivered fresh Monday to Sunday. In Murrurundi meals are delivered fresh from Monday to Friday. Frozen meals are delivered on Friday for Saturday and Sunday.

Am I Eligible?

To be eligible you should:

  • Be a person who is frail, older person or a person with a
  • disability,or a person who cares for them, and
  • reside in the Merriwa township and surrounding areas or
  • Murrurundi township and surrounding areas, and
  • live in the community.

Output:

Merriwa
  • 3,600 meals per annum
  • 3,000 hours social support per annum
Murrurundi
  • 4,200 meals per annum
  • 3,000 hours social support per annum
